Original Records LPs

When Douglas Adams and Geoffrey Perkins had finished recording the BBC Radio 4 series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the BBC didn’t feel there was a market for making the show available for sale, and thus a company called Original Records released two LPs which essentially tell the story of the first Radio 4 series, with some slight changes and a different actress playing Trillian. These LPs were called The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, and I make MP3 files available on my website. My aim is not to violate copyright, but to enable more people to listen to these (now out-of-print) recordings. Please note that if your browser opens some files instead of downloading them, you may have to right-click and select “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” to download the file.
